Good Morning everyone!

Snow has stopped play in the garden, I'm getting so impatient to get out there and get going, spring can't be that far away now surely?

Anyway I've had a go at making a card from a sketch, can you believe its the first time I've done this?

It is for this weeks Wild Orchid Challenge

This is the sketch:

KAS_Sketch

and this is my take on it:

I have used flowers and lace from Wild Orchid crafts
The toppers are from Hunky Dory timeless elegance collection
corners are cut from mirri card using one of the new spellbinders dies
Paper is desert blooms by first edition paper
All the rest is from my stash.

Thanks for looking x

Hello, hope everyone is well.

Phew, now that was a busy week, have been away for a few days exploring the Midlands but back home now. Think both mum and mum-in-law enjoyed their Mothers day treats so that's all good. Not to sure about the pile of washing up waiting for me in the kitchen though!

Here's a quick card I managed to squeeze in.

I love this gorgeous fairy from Lili of the valley.

Thanks for looking

Hopefully be back with some Easter cards soon x

Sunday, 3 March 2013

Hello every-one,

Well what a busy weekend that's been. Two family birthdays and the sun put in a small appearance so some gardening HAD to be done. The rain and cold would surely follow had I not ventured outside the second it was warm enough. On the plus side onion and potato patch dug and ready to be planted up in a few weeks. Not much crafting got done although the lovey Mr Rose has been busy making me some shelf's as the floor is getting a little hard to see in the spare bedroom!

I have been busy making sock monkeys in the evening as I find it nearly impossible to just sit in front of the TV doing nothing. Here is my first attempt I plan to make a few more as they're so cute!

see you soon x

Afternoon everyone

Had a  busy morning again, trying to sort a start date for my new job but HR are being frustratingly slow!

While I am waiting I plan to get ahead with some card making.
Here is one for Lili of the valleys 9th birthday.
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE their stamps they're  gorgeous,.

I tried to think back to what I wanted for my 9th birthday, I think it was pink hair! I remember my whole bedroom was pink and very OTT with frills and pretty pink things so this card is based on that. Of course now I'm older I have more sense ....... I want red hair now!

It's a gate fold card, loosely based on a glitter girls board.
The stamp is of course Lili of the Valley
Coloured with pro markers and stickles glitter glue.
Papers are meadow lark by Prima and hunky-dory.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts
Butterflies are  from The ribbon girl, they were plain silver, I've coloured with pro markers and added the flat backed pearls.
The rest of the stuff is from my stash

Here is a close up of that really gorgeous image:
My 9 year old self is so jealous of that hair!

The front of the card looks like this:

I didn't quite plan the ribbon correctly so am not completely happy with the way it shuts, ah well I'll know for next time. I had so much fun making it though it doesn't really matter.

Hope you like it

Thanks for looking x

Tuesday, 26 February 2013

Afternoon everyone,

Hope all is well, have been busy this morning sorting out the kitchen cupboards, why did I buy all these cans of kidney beans? Any way here is a card I made last night. Think I need to work on my photography skills so apologies for the photo quality.

The image is Emma Pot Plant from the gorgeous Lili of the valley
Coloured with pro markers
The papers are by Lucy Cromwell for papermania
Daisies and Roses from Wild orchid crafts
Butterfly was a plain silver one from The Ribbon Girl which I covered with glitter and then added 3 small flat back pearls to make the body
Rest of the stuff is from my stash.

The inside matches

and here is a close up of that gorgeous image

Must say although I am much more confident with pro markers than distress markers these colours were completely out of my comfort range, I decided to pick the paper first as it had butterflies on and go from there, eeek definitely found it a challenge!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Wild Orchid Challenges  Daisy, Daisy.

Thank you for looking x
